Birthday Parties!

An Over the Moon Puppet Theatre birthday party is the perfect event to excite the imaginations and creativity of you and your little ones! These parties are delivered by two professional puppeteers with extensive experience in entertainment, arts and crafts, childcare, and fun. Our parties encourage kids to use their imaginations and engage in super fun creative activities with each other. Watch amazing puppet shows, play fun games, read captivating stories, and make your very own puppets with our super fun supplies! Most of our parties are aimed at children from ages 4-6, and ages 7-10, and are great for all genders. All of these packages are customizable – send us an email with any questions you may have. We service the Greater Victoria area at no extra cost, and can travel out to the outer communities for a small travel fee!

Age 7-10 Puppet Show and Craft – 75 minutes – $240

This Birthday Package is perfect for kids ages 7-10 who love to laugh, play, and create. This package includes:

A 30 minute customized hand puppet show for the birthday child and guests that can be performed indoors or outdoors, (see our FAQ’s), in a space that is large enough for our stage.
Birthday games to follow the performance!
Everyone gets to make their very own sock puppet with our super fun supplies!*
A puppet workshop, including character-building games to help bring your puppet to life.
An opportunity for the kids to show off their super cool new puppets behind our professional stage
Finally, all of the puppets sing Happy Birthday and say goodbye!

*Craft materials are included in our price for up to 12 children. For every additional child, add $4!

What we need from you!

Information about the birthday child to customize our birthday puppet show!
At least 1 adult present. If there are more than 12 children, for every additional 4 children we require an additional adult! This is just to keep everyone safe and happy.
An uninterrupted place for us to set up and take down our programming. It takes us around 20 minutes.

Age 7-10 Shadow Puppet Show and Craft – 75 minutes – $240

This Birthday Package is perfect for kids age 7-10 who are interested in entering the magical world of shadow puppets! This package includes:

A 25 minute customized shadow puppet show for the birthday child and guests that must be performed indoors in a space that that has access to electricity and can be dimmed.
Birthday games to follow the performance!
Everyone gets to make their very own funky shadow puppet with creative materials and direction supplied by us!*
A puppet workshop that teaches kids about the mechanics of shadow puppetry and the magic of lighting.
An opportunity for the kids to show off their new shadow puppets behind our lit up stage.
Finally, all of the puppets sing Happy Birthday and say goodbye!

What we need from you!

Information about the birthday child to customize our birthday puppet show!
An uninterrupted place for us to set up and take down our programming. It takes us around 20 minutes.
At least 1 other adult is required to be present in the room. For every additional 4 children, another adult must be present. This is just to keep everyone safe and happy.
A room that can be dimmed, with easy access to an outlet.

Age 4-6 Puppet Show and Craft – 75 minutes – $240

This Birthday Package is perfect for kids ages 4-6 who love hilarious puppets, storytelling, and crafting! This package includes:

A 20 minute customized interactive hand puppet show for the birthday child and guests that can be performed indoors or outdoors, (see our FAQ’s), in a space that is large enough for our stage!
Birthday games to follow the performance!
A story time reading of the birthday child’s favourite book by our largest (and furriest) puppet!
Everyone gets to make their very own paper bag puppet with our super fun supplies!*
A puppet lesson where the kids learn how to make their puppet pal come to life!
An opportunity for the kids to show off their super cool new puppets behind our professional stage.
Finally, all of the puppets sing Happy Birthday and say goodbye!

What we need from you!

The birthday child’s favourite book if you want us to use it for StoryTime – otherwise, choose from a selection of our favourite books!
An uninterrupted place for us to set up and take down our programming. It takes us around 20 minutes.
2 adults to be present. If more than 12 children are in attendance, we require an additional adult for every additional 3 children! This is just to make sure everyone is safe and happy.

Age 4-6 Shadow Puppet Show and Craft – $240

This Birthday Package is perfect for kids ages 4-6 who want to journey into the magical realm of shadow puppetry! This package includes:

A 20 minute customized interactive shadow puppet show for the birthday child and guests that must be performed indoors in a space that that has access to electricity and can be dimmed
Birthday games to follow the performance!
A story time reading of the birthday child’s favourite book by our largest (and furriest) puppet!
Everyone gets to make their very own crazy shadow puppet with creative stencils supplied by us*
A shadow puppet lesson where the kids learn how to use light and shadow to make their puppets come to life.
An opportunity for the kids to show off their super cool new shadow puppet shapes behind our lit up stage

This Birthday Package is perfect for kids 4-6 who love watching funny shows, playing games, and storytime! This package includes:

A 25 minute customized interactive hand puppet show for the birthday child and guests that can be performed indoors or outdoors, (see our FAQ’s), in a space that is large enough for our stage!
Birthday games to follow the performance!
A story time reading of the birthday child’s favourite book by our largest (and furriest) puppet!
Everyone gets to meet our starring puppets and tour our professional stage
Finally, two of our fuzziest puppets sing Happy Birthday and say goodbye!
